Maria Streams

I am a professor of nanotechnology at Uppsala University and one of the most cited researchers in materials science in the Nordic region. I have extensive experience in leading interdisciplinary research projects and commercialising innovations in areas such as energy, the environment, medical technology and sustainable materials development. As the founder and co-founder of several technology companies, I have worked to build bridges between academia and industry, drive innovation strategies and translate research results into scalable business solutions with global potential. My personal goal is to contribute to sustainable breakthroughs that combine scientific excellence with social benefit. I am driven by developing teams and ideas that can change the future — where science, technology and human values meet.
